Katrina's forthcoming film ZNMD releases on July 15
And once again, rather than her acting skills, Katrina is in the news for her act. A sensuous kiss with Hrithik Roshan in their upcoming movie, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ has raised several eyebrows. “I believe if I were to start thinking about all this then I would never be able to become a better actor. Hrithik is leading a happy married life and I have no intentions of creating unnecessary rumours,” clears Katrina. Apart from the lip lock, the promos show Katrina enjoying away with Hrithik at a Tomato festival in Spain. She says, “People should understand that we are throwing tomatoes because it is a part of our job. It is true that we enjoy such moments but that does not mean we are close to each other and that something is cooking.”
Apart from Katrina and Hrithik the movie also stars biggies like Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol. And doing a multi-starrer movie like this might just overshadow the actress’s so-called talent. But Katrina has no fear of being underestimated. “Before ‘ZNMD’ I have worked in ‘Raajneeti’ which had big stars like Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Nana Patekar and many of them are National award winners. So I see no harm in doing a multi-starrer film. My character in ‘ZNMD’ is very beautiful. It is a role of a fun filled diving instructor and it is very close to my heart,” says Kat.
This actress has worked with several male stars, but when it comes to actresses, Katrina won’t think twice before walking out of the project. Anurag Basu had approached her for ‘Barfee’ but when she came to know that Priyanka Chopra too is a part of the film, Katrina walked out of the project. Apart from Priyanka, Katrina seems to have had been into catfights with Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha too. But denying the whole affair Kat says, “If I am offered a good movie with Priyanka then I shall go for it. The same goes for Deepika too. I will never leave a movie just because there is Priyanka in it. There could be other reasons too.” We would really want to know the other reasons Katrina.
After ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, Katrina will be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in Yash Chopra’s next movie. Working with Salman Khan’s arch rival, we wonder how Sallu would have taken the news. “I don’t know what to say. Frankly I don’t know what Salman’s reaction is, but I believe that people should be happy about the fact that I have got the opportunity to work with SRK and Yash Raj,” says the happy actress.
But then everyone knows that Salman does not accept disloyalty with people moving on to the other side. He cuts off completely when someone breaks his trust. “It is true that Salman does not like people breaking his loyalty, but I am not a part of that list. Salman has always been there to help me. The two of us are single and try to support each other. We shall always maintain this relationship,” says the British born actress.
With friendly terms for Salman and a break off from Ranbir, Katrina has moved on from all relationships and is concentrating one work. “At time there are a lot of things in life and at times there are only two things – work and relationship.
For now I just have work and am focussing on that front. But I have hopes that there will be a time once again when I would fall in love, after all I am just 27 years old,” says Katrina with a smile. Preaching on relationships she says, “Making any relationship is indeed hard. But in this industry, nothing is fixed. When a relationship breaks, there is heartbreak too.”
Katrina has been voted as the sexist woman consecutively since the past four years, but as far as acting is concerned we hope to see some good talent show from the actress as acting ‘ZNMD’ releases on July 15.
