Singham actress, amused by her fans . . .

Labels:

one of Kajal’s fan, stating himself as a businessman, insisted Kajal on signing his forthcoming film, as he wanted to get into films, himself.
Says a source, “Kajal got calls and smses from a man, who claimed to be a businessman wanting to get in to films. When they finally met, he narrated a script to Kajal, however, she turned it down and said that she was looking for something else. That’s when he insisted to give her a signing amount.”
“After much insistence, Kajal finally took the signing amount, since he told her that he would come up with another script. However, when the man did not turn up for the next 3-4 days, the manager called him. He simply said that he had no intention of making any film but just wanted to meet Kajal,” added the source.
“He had seen many of her south Indian films and was a huge fan of hers. He apologised but said that he could not think of any other way to meet Kajal. When the actress’ manager asked him to take his signing amount back, he refused and disconnected. Fortunately, Kajal had not cashed the approximately Rs 3 lakh cheque. She found the whole incident very amusing,” concluded the source.
Kajal confirming the news, says, “He came and showered me with compliments. It was very funny as the person never showed up again. I was flattered, but a little unnerved by the whole situation.”

Is Joker About Super Heroes or Aliens? ? ?

Labels:

Bollywood

Rumors are ripe that the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer and the Shirish Kunder directed Joker is about Super heroes and aliens. There were rumors floating around that this film is inspired from Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’, which had Heath Ledger deliver a brilliant performance as Joker, which won him a posthumous Oscar award as well. There were other rumors that this film is going to be an out of the world experience where the hero will be battling aliens or extra-terrestrials. But for now, all these only seem to be rumors and nothing else, as Shirish Kumder has vehemently denied all these speculations.
Shirish has gone on record stating that the film’s story has definitely no aliens nor super heroes although, there are a few fantasy elements interwoven into the script. Kunder has revealed that Akshay plays a scientist in the film who comes to his village in India from the US.
Well. we will have to wait and see what the film is all about and if Akshay is seriously considering competing with SRK in becoming a superhero.....

Friday Bollywood...

Labels:

Bollywood

Last Friday we saw the release of two movies – Delhi Belly and Bbuddah … Hoga Terra Baap. Both the films achieved success more than actually what was expected. While Delhi Belly was a new experiment and is receiving some rave reviews and applause, Bbuddah saw the return of Amitabh of the seventies and the eighties, once again proving that Big B is indeed the “Superstar of the Millennium”. Well that was last Friday, what’s this week?
This Friday we have two more releases, Murder 2 and Chillar Party. We obviously know which is the bigger film of the two and Murder 2 as expected has got off to a flyer. Chillar Party, being a small film is having to depend a lot on word of mouth. As far as the initial reports are concerned, Murder 2 is not just high on kisses but, is also high on content as well. Chillar Party is also garnering some good reviews.
So, which film for you this weekend?
